About Me...
I’m Ady, a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, majoring in Fashion Design, with an expected graduation in Spring 2025. My passion lies in couture and luxury fashion, and I had the privilege of interning at several luxury labels, where I gained hands-on experience in photoshoots and collaborated with the couture team. These experiences solidified my aspiration to build a career in the luxury fashion industry.
Originally from India, I draw significant inspiration from my cultural heritage, which influences both my creative process and personal life. This blend of cultural pride and modern design is something I hope to bring into my future collections.
I approach fashion as both a craft and an art form, constantly exploring new ideas and techniques. Currently, I’m developing a conceptual art collection titled Pause, which is inspired by the experience of sleep paralysis. The collection draws from surreal and symbolic elements, offering a visual narrative of the threshold between sleep and consciousness. My work in this collection is heavily influenced by photography, particularly the haunting and dreamlike quality of Nicolas Bruno’s imagery.
I believe in creating designs that not only reflect my personal experiences but also resonate with others on a deeper, more emotional level. Whether it’s through fashion, art, or research, my goal is to bring thoughtful, meaningful contributions to the industry.
